GivingFuel Case Study: Streamlining Nonprofit Fundraising
Marketing site rebuilt for GivingFuel with a new CMS, brand guidelines and cross-device UX.

Results
- A clean, functional and lightweight site that matches GivingFuel's pragmatic style rather than working against it.
- Cross-device responsiveness across tablet, laptop and mobile.
- A new Webflow CMS for the blog, with all existing posts migrated in, so the team publishes without developer support.
- Brand and web design guidelines delivered as a lasting framework for future design work.
- A scalable Client-First codebase with optimized CSS, built so updates and expansions stay straightforward.
Challenge
GivingFuel is an all-in-one fundraising platform built for nonprofits, folding giving, events, engagement and CRM into a single solution. The proposition is that a nonprofit should not need four tools and four budgets to run its fundraising.
Communicating that clearly was the problem. The site needed to make a broad, multi-function platform feel simple rather than sprawling, and do it for an audience that is price-sensitive and time-poor: nonprofits, churches and enterprises managing donations, supporter marketing, and events and ticketing.
Practically, that meant a clean and genuinely engaging experience across tablet, laptop and phone, a blog the GivingFuel team could publish to without help, and a design system that would hold together after the engagement ended.
Approach
The build ran deliberately slowly. Rather than sprint, the team worked page by page, reviewing and refining each one before moving on, which kept quality ahead of pace and left a solid foundation underneath the whole site.
Work started by defining the visual direction, then designing and implementing each page against it, integrating the text and imagery GivingFuel supplied. Subtle animations and a custom slider added polish without getting in the way of the content. Client feedback was folded in continuously rather than collected at milestones.
A new Webflow CMS was set up for the blog, and every existing post was migrated into it, so publishing no longer required a developer.
Underneath, the team used the Client-First structure to keep the codebase organized and scalable, which sped up the build and makes future changes straightforward. CSS was optimized around variables, keeping the stylesheet lighter and easier to maintain.
Clear brand and web design guidelines were produced as a deliverable in their own right, giving GivingFuel a consistent framework for anything designed after launch.
