"Veza Digital delivered the website as promised, receiving positive feedback from stakeholders, customers, and industry colleagues. The team was highly responsive, collaborative, informed, and accommodating. Moreover, they showed impressive commitment to the client's success."— Michael Francisco, Vice President of Marketing, Liquibase

Liquibase, once a leader in advanced database change management and CI/CD automation, knew it was time to evolve its stagnant and outdated website.

Jamal Haymour, Veza Digital Growth Partner, recognized Liquibase's need for evolutionary change and contacted Michael Francisco, Liquibase's Vice President of Marketing. Once the Veza Digital team thoroughly scoped the Liquibase site, they found several big problems that needed to be tackled in layers.

Challenge

Liquibase leads in database change management and CI/CD automation, on a website that had stopped keeping up. The site was built on WordPress, a stable platform, but not one built for the advanced marketing requirements of a company at that scale. The design was unremarkable and the backend was held together well enough to work and badly enough to dread, which made adding content slow and navigating the site harder than it needed to be.

The structural problem was worse than the cosmetic one. Liquibase's presence was split across two domains, .com and .org, which fragmented the user experience and diluted the brand across both.

Over 3,000 pages had to move.

Approach

The Veza Digital team chose a strategic migration from WordPress to Webflow, which addressed the platform limits and set a foundation that could grow rather than patching the existing site.

Comprehensive content mapping and information architecture restructuring merged .com and .org into a single, cohesive .com. The site was redesigned in full, with Figma enabling a collaborative and iterative approach to the visual work.

Advanced analytics tracking was integrated so the Liquibase team could monitor performance and optimize against real data. Custom JavaScript animations using GSAP, Pixi JS, and Swiper JS were built alongside Lottie animations to add motion without weighing the pages down. The migration leaned heavily on Webflow's CMS so the marketing team could manage content directly, and a Greenhouse integration streamlined the careers section into a clean application experience.
