Driving Results for Shipwell - A Website Transformation
Shipwell is a leading logistics platform. Karen Shipwells’ CMO wanted to elevate Shipwell's online presence to new heights. With a vision to blend aesthetics, functionality, and usability to outshine competitors, the Shipwell team reached out to Veza Digital to provide the solutions they needed to revamp its site.
Shipwell's website overhaul was a layered challenge. Not only did the Veza team face the daunting task of seamlessly migrating over 2,000 pages, but they also had to ensure that Shipwell's cherished mascot, Swifty the Otter, remained prominently featured.
The Shipwell team informed us of the importance of creating a user-friendly website for non-developers to make any needed changes or updates, all while surpassing industry standards in design and functionality.
The brilliant minds of the Veza team came up with a revolutionary strategy, by what else, leveraging the agility of Webflow. Through meticulous planning, we orchestrated a seamless migration from WordPress to Webflow, prioritizing speed and simplicity.
We wanted to embrace the client-first framework approach, placing their needs at the forefront while integrating motion graphic animations to enhance user experience. Our design experts created visually captivating pages enriched with dynamic motion graphics to captivate and inform.
Following an established design system and brand standards, we delicately crafted each page, guided by a detailed sitemap. Our development process proceeded smoothly despite occasional hiccups stemming from reliance on placeholders. Although there were occasional delays in CMS migration due to revisions, the Veza team persevered and, as usual, delivered exceptional results.
The revamped Shipwell website perfectly blends beautiful aesthetics with practical usability. Post-launch, our collaboration with Shipwell continues, focusing on increasing on-site traffic and optimizing conversions through A/B testing.
Challenge
Shipwell is a leading logistics platform. Its CMO wanted to blend aesthetics, functionality and usability well enough to outshine competitors, and brought Veza Digital in to rebuild the site.
The overhaul was layered. Over 2,000 pages had to migrate cleanly. Swifty the Otter, Shipwell's mascot and a real piece of brand equity, had to stay prominent rather than get designed out. And the finished site had to be editable by non-developers, so the Shipwell team could make changes without filing a ticket.
Approach
The team migrated from WordPress to Webflow, planning the move around speed and simplicity. The client-first framework kept Shipwell's own needs at the center of the build, with motion graphic animations layered in to carry information rather than decorate it.
Each page was crafted against an established design system and brand standards, guided by a detailed sitemap. Development ran smoothly despite a reliance on placeholders early on, and the team absorbed occasional CMS migration delays caused by content revisions.
