As we continue to scale, we're looking for a skilled SEO Strategist to drive organic growth across VAN and our agency clients. What You'll Do

  • Be the hands-on SEO strategist for VAN and our agency clients. Design, implement, and continuously refine comprehensive SEO strategies that drive organic traffic growth and improve search engine rankings.
  • Conduct in-depth SEO audits and competitor analyses to identify gaps, uncover opportunities, and prioritize high-impact initiatives.
  • Perform detailed keyword research using tools like SEMrush, Ahrefs, and Google Keyword Planner. Optimize on-page content, metadata, and internal linking structures based on keyword targets and user intent.
  • Collaborate with content teams to develop SEO-driven blog posts, landing pages, and website copy that balances search optimization with genuine user value.
  • Identify and resolve technical SEO issues — crawl errors, indexing problems, page speed bottlenecks, and site architecture improvements. Work directly with developers to ensure SEO best practices are baked into new and existing builds.
  • Develop and execute white-hat link-building strategies to strengthen domain authority and backlink profiles. Monitor backlink health and disavow toxic links as needed.
  • Track, analyze, and report SEO performance using Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and supporting tools. Deliver regular performance updates with clear insights and strategic recommendations to stakeholders and clients.
  • Stay current on SEO trends, algorithm updates, and industry shifts — and adapt strategies proactively in response to changes.



Qualifications & Experience
Must-haves:

  • 2+ years of hands-on experience developing and executing SEO strategies, with demonstrated impact on organic traffic and keyword rankings.
  • Strong technical SEO foundation: crawlability, indexation, site speed, structured data, and core web vitals.
  • Proficiency with SEO tools and platforms (SEMrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, Google Search Console, Google Analytics).
  • Experience conducting keyword research, on-page optimization, and content planning aligned with search intent.
  • Solid understanding of link-building strategies and off-page SEO best practices.
  • Analytical mindset with experience building reports, dashboards, and translating SEO data into business-relevant insights.
  • Comfortable managing SEO programs across multiple client accounts with clear prioritization and communication.
  • Detail-oriented with a process-driven approach to audits, implementation tracking, and QA.



Nice-to-haves:

  • Experience with technical SEO at scale — migrations, international SEO, or large e-commerce/SaaS sites.
  • Familiarity with CMS platforms such as WordPress, Webflow, or Shopify from an SEO configuration perspective.
  • Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript as it relates to SEO and rendering.
  • Experience with conversion rate optimization (CRO) informed by SEO insights.
  • Background in B2B SaaS, fintech, professional services, or enterprise-level client environments.
  • Google Analytics and/or Google Ads certifications.
  • Experience using tools like Moz, Yoast, Surfer SEO, or Clearscope for content optimization.
