"Concordium's outdated design and unclear hierarchy hindered their vision. We modernized their brand with a light theme, 3D glass gradients, and dynamic animations, creating a cutting-edge site that effectively conveys their mission."

Design Director

Challenge
Concordium had a strong technical product, but its website was not structured for how modern discovery works. Content was readable for users but difficult for search engines and AI systems to interpret at scale.
This created a clear gap. Visibility across priority queries was limited, and early traction in AI-driven traffic remained underdeveloped. Attribution was also incomplete, with no clean way to isolate or measure LLM-driven sessions and engagement.
The core issue was structural. Without machine-readable content, consistent technical foundations, and clear semantic signals, both search engines and AI systems struggled to fully understand and surface the site.
Approach
The solution centered on implementing WAIO (Webflow AI Optimization) across technical, content, and measurement layers.
On the technical side, the site was audited and restructured to improve performance, crawlability, and rendering consistency. Core Web Vitals were addressed, and structured data was expanded across key templates to strengthen entity recognition and eligibility for rich results.
Content was rebuilt as answer-focused systems rather than keyword targets. Pages were restructured with clear hierarchies, short-form definitions, FAQ modules, and scannable formats designed for extraction by AI systems.
Internal linking was overhauled to strengthen topical relationships and improve crawl depth across the site.
Measurement was rebuilt from the ground up. GA4 was reconfigured to isolate LLM referrals, supported by a dedicated Looker Studio dashboard tracking sessions, engagement, and key events.
LLM traffic is scaling faster than traditional channels and showing stronger intent signals. Session duration increased by over 1,300%, indicating that users arriving from AI systems are more engaged and goal-oriented.
This aligns with the framework’s objective: improving how machines interpret and trust content. Structured data, semantic clarity, and extractable formats increased citation likelihood across AI systems.
At the same time, traditional performance improved in parallel. Organic sessions increased by 144% and engaged sessions by 134%, confirming that visibility gains are not limited to AI channels but extend across the full search ecosystem.
