As Veza continues to scale across multiple entities, geographies, and revenue models, we’re looking for a Bookkeeper / Accountant who can own the day-to-day financial accuracy of the business — ensuring our numbers are clean, reliable, and decision-ready.

This role is foundational. You’ll work closely with leadership, operations, and finance stakeholders to keep our books in order, surface financial signals early, and support better decision-making across the network.

What You’ll Do

Core Bookkeeping & Accounting

  • Own day-to-day bookkeeping across one or multiple Veza entities.
  • Maintain accurate records of income, expenses, invoices, and payments.
  • Reconcile bank accounts, payment processors, and credit cards regularly.
  • Ensure transactions are categorized correctly and consistently.
  • Maintain a clean, audit-ready general ledger at all times.

Invoicing, AR & AP

  • Support client invoicing processes (retainers, one-off projects, adjustments).
  • Track accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding payments.
  • Manage accounts payable, vendor bills, and contractor payments.
  • Ensure payment schedules align with cash-flow planning.

Financial Reporting & Support

  • Prepare monthly financial reports (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow).
  • Support leadership with accurate financial data for planning and forecasting.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Support external accountants, tax advisors, or auditors as needed.

Systems, Accuracy & Process

  • Maintain strong bookkeeping hygiene and documentation standards.
  • Flag inconsistencies, errors, or risks early — not after the fact.
  • Improve bookkeeping processes as the business scales.
  • Ensure alignment between financial data and operational reality (projects, retainers, utilization where relevant).

What We’re Looking For

Must-haves:

  • 3+ years experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or finance roles.
  • Strong understanding of bookkeeping fundamentals (AR/AP, reconciliations, reporting).
  • High attention to detail and accuracy - numbers need to be trusted.
  • Comfortable working in a remote, distributed environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple entities, currencies, or accounts with structure.
  • Proactive mindset - you surface issues instead of waiting to be asked.

Nice-to-haves:

  • Experience working with digital agencies, professional services, or SaaS businesses.
  • Familiarity with tools like QuickBooks, SoftLedger, Wise, Payoneer, Paystand or similar.
  • Exposure to multi-entity or multi-country setups.
  • Basic understanding of project-based and retainer-based revenue models.
  • Experience supporting leadership with financial insights, not just reports.
